Our Ranch

When we decided to settle in Texas after years of moving with the military, the Piney Woods area captured our hearts with its towering trees and rolling hills. We’ve never been big city people despite living the majority of our lives in cities. The country life was calling to us and God provided our own little slice of His gorgeous creation to park our family for a time. We are blessed with acreage that is a mix of pasture and woodland, some small ponds, and a spring-fed creek.

Our Animals

We originally had ideas of homesteading. Turns out I (Liz), can’t eat an animal I raised from infancy, so it’s become more of a petting zoo. I have always loved all kinds of animals since I was very little. Currently, we have:

• Dwarf Nigerian Goats

• Dexter Cows

• Chickens

• “Barn” cats

• Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs to protect them all

• Plus our Doodle Pack

In the past, we have also had sheep, pigs, hedgehogs and a horse.
