  5. First vet visit: Per our contract, please plan to have your puppy checked by your vet as soon as possible. You should go ahead and schedule that now so you don’t forget. The puppies are checked and vaccinated by our vet at 6 weeks. Follow your vet’s recommendation for vaccine scheduling, flea & tick preventative, heartworm prevention, regular deworming, teeth cleaning, and eventual spay or neuter. These needs can vary by area. 

  6. Grooming: Goldendoodles need regular grooming. Your little fluff ball won’t need more than brushing and an occasional bath the first few months, but it’s never too early to scout out your options for local groomers. While waiting for their first official groom, you may choose to do a “Face, Feet, & Fanny” mini groom. Some groomers offer this service to get your dog used to visiting the groomer.   7. Lifetime support: By purchasing a pup from us, you also get support for the lifetime of the pup. Never hesitate to ask us a question for as long as you own your dog. If we don’t know, we will track down someone who does. It’s far better to reach out sooner before small problems get bigger.
    Please make note of the fact that as part of the contract, we ask you to never surrender this dog to a shelter or pound. Life happens, we get that. If you need to surrender your dog, we ask that you please work with us to rehome the puppy so they can continue to get the love and care we have poured into them from before they were born. We really appreciate you!
